Judul : THE EFFECT OF LEARNING METHOD AND SELF-CONCEPT PERSPECTIVE OF STUDENTS’ MATHEMATICS ABILITY
Abstrak :

Abstract: This research is an experimental research which aims at finding out the effectiveness of learning method on students’ mathematics ability on students’ self-concept perspective. The population of this research is fourth grade students of SDN Duta Pakuan and SDN Pajajaran, Bogor, West Java. The research usingby cluster random sampling was 120 students. Data collection used for this research is taken by test instrument and analyzed by Analysis of Variance(ANOVA) and two lines with treatment by level 2x2 design. Research result shows: (1) students’ mathematics ability using Realistics Mathematics Education is higher than group of students taught by speech method, (2) there is an interactive effect between learning method on students’ self-concept, (3) students’ mathematics ability which have high self-concept and study using Realistic Mathematics Education is higher than students who study using speech method, (4) students’ mathematics ability which have low self-concept and study using Realistic Mathematics Education is lower than students who study using speech method. This means that learning method on students’ mathematics ability shows significant effect seen from students’ self-concept perspective.
