Judul : The Effect of Mole Fraction on The Microstructure and Optical Properties of BaxSr1-xTio3 Thin Films
Abstrak :

In this work, BaxSr1-xTiO3 (x = 0, 0.25, 0.375) thin films were prepared by using chemical solution deposition method at different mole fractions of barium. The microstructure was identified by X-ray diffraction method and Uv-Vis spectroscopy was also employed to observe the optical properties. The results from the X-ray diffraction show that the thin film with x = 0 (SrTiO3) has an orthorhombic phase with lattice parameters a, b, and c of 5.48, 5.52, and 7.81 Å, respectively. Our results for the orthorhombic phase are in good agreement with the literature1 . After increasing the mole fraction from x=0 to x=0.25, 0.375, the crystal structure changes from orthorhombic to cubic phase. Our calculated lattice parameters with Rietveld analysis show that the Ba0.25Sr0.75TiO3 (x=0.25) and Ba0.375Sr0.625TiO3 (x=0.375) have the same lattice parameters of a=b=c=3.95 Å. These values are close to the lattice parameters in our previous study2 . Optically, with increasing the mole fraction of barium, the refractive index (n) slightly increased from n=1.97 for x=0, n=2.11 for x=0.25, and n=2.14 for x=0.375. This tendency is very similar to that of the lattice parameter, indicating a strong interdependence.
