Judul : ANALISIS NILAI-NILAI BUDAYA KEARIFAN LOKAL PADA NOVEL PERJALANAN PENGANTEN KARYA AJIP ROSIDI SERTA IMPLIKASINYA TERHADAP PEMBELAJARAN SASTRA DI SMA

Abstrak :
The research is aimed at finding out the values of local wisdoms in the novel entitled, “ Perjalanan Penganten” written by Ajip Rosidi. The novel describes the relations among morality, arts, cultures, languages, occupations, and social relations. The research is also aimed at finding out whether or not the novel is appropriate to be taught in the literary class in senior high school level. The method employed in the research was descriptive analysis with objective approach. The data are described to answer the research questions and then analyzed based on the literary work. The result of the research shows that the novel contains the values of local wisdoms covering morality, arts, cultures, languages, occupations, and social relations. It describes interesting cultures of Sundanese society’s everyday habits, such as morality, religion, attitudes, belief, death, superstition, and cultural ceremonies. The language use covers the high level (appropriate) language and everyday language of Sundanese. The occupation explored in the story is as a farmer. Social matters described
are social layers and relations. The discussion on cultural values is aimed at going deeply to the real Sundanese society so that it is expected that it can represents the real life of nowadays’ Sundanese people.
