Abstrak :
This paper reveals about reading-based learning model metacognitive startegles that would be an alternative model in learning to read, Metacognitive reading strategis can be divided into three phases, namely pre-readingg, readning, post-reading. which is divided into stages preview, question, read, recite, reflect, review. Through the application of metacognitive startegies are exprected to have difficulty understanding the reading material can be overcome
