With reference to the many complaints on the needs to learn more about different models of assessment for language skills, in this case reading. this essay is an attempt in developing a model, an integrative-communicative model, which conforms curriculum demands and reading ability. this model is widely developed in other countries. it is implemented in designing learning and assessment programs to improve the reading skill. the materials for the assessment are taken from authentic materials such as journals, magaziners and newspapers.
