The preliminary research found the gap between the objective and the implementing of lAD curriculum in undergraduate program. The objective of fAD lecture is concept understanding as well as critical
thinking skills. In practices, the lectures focus only on the concept understanding domain. To deal with, a research had conducted by developing fAD teaching-learning model that focusing on students activities (student centre learning). The model is aimed 10 increase both
of concepts understanding and critical thinking skill of student. The
subject was two groups of non-science students (Accountant Studies representing nun-educational program and English Education Studies representing educational program) of a private higher education institution at Bogor. To evaluate the increase of concepts understanding and critical-thinking skill of student. the quasi-experiment method with the time series design were used. Based on data gained through the tests (pre and post tests), the research showed that the collaborative learning model. which focusing on students' activities improved concepts understanding and critical thinking skill as well. Students also gave the positive response after attending lectures that applying this model.
